Within the framework of its activities, the CAE website published by CAE Groupe, a company entered in the Paris Trade & Companies Register with the number 320 921 364 RCS and with capital of 304,110 euros (hereinafter “CAE Groupe”, “we”, “us”, “our”), collects and processes your personal data, as the data controller pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation.

Orders: products ordered, quantity of products ordered, their price, transport arrangements, history of orders placed, invoices, credit notes, details of product returns, possible discount coupons. Your payment details: payment method (bank card, Paypal, bank transfer, check, administrative payment order) and data relating to the payment method.
Your comments: possible comments/reviews you may have expressed and posted about our products directly on the website. These comments are linked to a pseudonym
Your messages: the content of messages you send to us and our replies,
User account information: your user name and your passwords for authentication and accessing the account.

What is the legal basis for processing your personal data?
 
Depending on the circumstances, CAE Groupe processes your personal data on the following legal basis:
 
  • processing is necessary to fulfill a contract to which you are a party or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures: this is specifically the case for processing relating to:
  • the creation and management of your user account,
  • the provision of goods and services and, specifically, managing your orders, managing payments, etc.,
  • processing satisfies the legitimate interests of CAE Groupe and, specifically, its economic interests: this is specifically the case for processing for the purpose of:
  • combating payment fraud,
  • managing the website and its operational functions (including logistics),
  • resolving all technical issues, improving and developing new functionalities by taking account of use and/or feedback and requests from users,
  • compiling statistics,
  • commercial prospecting. As stated above, for processing for the purpose of commercial prospecting, we nevertheless obtain consent where required to do so by the applicable provisions,

 

This processing contributes to the security and improvement of its services by CAE Groupe and is thereby of benefit to both users and CAE Groupe without adversely affecting their fundamental interests, rights and freedoms. In certain cases, we are required to process and store your data by law: this is specifically the case for processing for the purpose of:

To whom is personal data transmitted?
 
CAE Groupe’s authorized personnel are the recipients of your data. They only have access to your data where this is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes set out above.
 
As CAE Groupe forms part of an international group, we may share your personal data with other TKH Group companies for the purpose of studies and statistics. With your consent, we may also share this same data with TKH Group companies for commercial prospecting purposes.
 
We may also work with service providers acting as sub-contractors pursuant to the applicable regulations to provide services relating to the services that we offer you via the website. These service providers are specifically involved as part of hosting, storage, analysis, marketing, communication, accounting, delivery, payment, data processing, database management or even computer maintenance services. In this context, these service providers may have access to your personal data. Do we transfer your personal data internationally?

These measures may include signing appropriate standard contractual clauses approved by the European Union, making use of service providers with Privacy Shield certification or service providers with restrictive business rules duly approved by a supervisory authority. For how long is personal data stored?
 
We store your personal data for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes of processing. The retention period varies from one type of personal data to another as this depends on:

  • the durations of the applicable requirements

In general, we store your personal data for the entire duration of the commercial relationship and/or the activation of your user account.
 
You can close your user account at any time by sending a request message using our contact form. In this case, we will delete all personal data we have relating to you from the active database in which it is stored, with the exception of data that we need to fulfill our contractual or legal obligations, in particular accounting obligations.
 
At the end of the commercial relationship and/or when the account is closed, the data is archived for the duration of the applicable requirements in this respect (which is currently five years) before being permanently deleted after this period.
 
Therefore, we may retain certain personal data despite your wish to close your account, in order to fulfill our legal or statutory obligations and in order to allow us to exercise our rights (e.g. to take legal action in any court and/or defend ourselves as part of a case before a court).

 

What security measures are in place for your personal data?
